How a verifier checks your ERE-E records

Trace registration back to delivery

For each registered quantity, your evidence file must show where electricity was supplied, which meter recorded it and why the consumption qualifies. The sector and the registrant's authority must also be correct.

At a charging hub, this means connecting the EAN code, charge point, meter readings and sessions. Shore power records also need the vessel delivery. At a terminal, separate mobile machinery from other consumption.

The verifier assesses the evidence supporting registration. The market price of the EREs is outside that assessment. The NEa can also conduct checks and correct inaccurate registrations after verification.

Record who checks what

AO-IB/IC is the Dutch abbreviation for administrative organisation, internal management and internal control. Describe in plain language how you prevent and correct errors:

• Who collects meter readings and delivery records?
• Who compares these with purchase and sales records?
• How are missing measurements and faults handled?
• Who approves corrections and keeps the supporting evidence?

Keep original exports alongside processed files. For each correction, record what changed, why and who made it. The verifier can then follow the difference without reconstructing it later.

Maintain the file during the year

Regularly check that meter readings, sessions and totals agree. Resolve missing records while the delivery can still be traced. Update the connection diagram when the installation changes.

Deliveries made in 2026 must be registered before 1 March 2027. The registrant must hold the registration verification statement before 1 April 2027. Agree in advance when the verifier will receive the file.
