What belongs in an ERE-E evidence file?

Start with the connection

For each site, keep the main connection's EAN code, address and registered connected party in the Central Connections Register. Record any secondary allocation points and their link to the main connection. Registration takes place per main connection EAN.

Add a diagram showing chargers, shore power points, meters, on-site generation and other consumption. Contracts and any authorisations must establish who supplies the electricity and who may register it.

Keep the records behind the total

A verifiable evidence file will generally need:

• Meter readings for transport deliveries, with period and meter identification.
• Charging sessions or delivery records that match those readings.
• Classification as land transport, inland shipping or maritime shipping.
• Purchase records per EAN and sales invoices where applicable.
• Technical details of chargers and meters.
• A record of faults, missing data and corrections.

Shore power records also need the link to the vessel. For mobile machinery, identify the equipment supplied. Vessel battery deliveries require the vessel name, ENI or IMO number and charging location.

On a mixed connection, a charging session export alone is insufficient. The installation must also meet the metering and exclusive transport use requirements.

Additional evidence for on-site generation

For grid electricity, the REV applies a renewable share of 50.5% in 2026. To claim on-site generation as 100% renewable, keep generation measurements, non-grid Guarantees of Origin and evidence that no operating subsidy was received for the relevant electricity. Mixed consumption and storage may require hourly data.

Plan checks before the deadline

Describe who collects data, who checks the totals and who approves corrections. This forms part of the administrative organisation and internal controls, known in Dutch as AO-IB/IC.

Deliveries made in 2026 must be registered before 1 March 2027. The registrant must have the verification statement before 1 April 2027. Retain the data and supporting documents for at least five years from the calendar year to which they relate.
